About Viana Camp
The Story of Viana Camp: Seven Years of Roads Led Here
Hello, I’m Don.
For seven years, my home was a tent, and my backyard was the world. From the high deserts of Mongolia to the misty forests of Patagonia, I slept under the stars in a hundred different campgrounds. I was a pilgrim on a long, slow road, collecting not souvenirs, but sensations: the sound of a river outside the tent flap, the smell of earth after rain, the shared silence of fellow travelers around a fading fire.
I learned that the magic wasn’t in the most luxurious site, but in the right one—a place that felt like a secret whispered by the land itself. A place where nature was the main attraction, and everything you needed was just a short walk away.
And then, I found it. Here in Viana do castelo, Portugal.
I stopped wandering because I knew my search was over. This wasn’t just another pin on a map; it was a calling. I decided to build the campground I had spent seven years dreaming of finding.
Welcome to Viana Camp.
This is more than a campsite; it’s the culmination of every good night’s rest under a foreign sky, every friendly nod from a neighboring camper, every moment of perfect peace in the wild. We are building it by hand, with a rustic, medieval soul that honors the timeless spirit of pilgrimage and adventure.
Here, you can follow a winding path for 18 minutes and find yourself at the foot of a breathtaking waterfall, dipping into a pristine natural pool. You can wake up in your tent to the vast expanse of the ocean on the horizon. And when you need supplies, the rhythm of local life is just minutes away—a supermarket for provisions, a fantastic sushi spot for a treat, and a train station connecting you to further adventures.
Viana Camp is an invitation. An invitation to explorers, pilgrims, and friends to experience the raw, beautiful beginning of something special. Come while the story is still being written. Pitch your tent, breathe in the Atlantic air, and add your own chapter to this adventure.
Your gateway awaits.
